Nice Girls Finish Last Too

For those of you who read my free dating advice on a regular basis may notice that I’m a pretty nice guy. An incredibly nice guy as a matter of fact and believe me, that’s nothing to brag about. I’m confident enough to admit that I’m not unattractive and I have a good sense of humor. I’ve never lied in my online personals profiles. I don’t have any major personality disorders or have ever pulled a “Marky Mark in Fear” stalking routine on any ex-girlfriends.

Yet for some strange reason unknown to me, I have been known to attract women who end up leaving me for their insufferable asshole ex-boyfriends. Now that’s not to say that I haven’t been in any great relationships before, but the girls who have hurt me the most were always incredibly captivating women who were far too smart to fall for men who have used them in the past and probably are continuing to do in the present.

Before I used to complain about the “nice guy” syndrome far more than I should have. I was fed up of women of saying that they have been looking for someone just like me who wasn’t me. It wasn’t until I went on a date with a woman I met at a coffee shop earlier this year that I finally learned that nice guys aren’t the only ones that finish last.

I was on a date with an attractive woman–not over overtly so and she had a fantastic sense of humor as well. She was incredibly nice and friendly enough–but unfortunately, I didn’t feel any attraction to her whatsoever. I realized at that very moment that men love insufferable bitches as much as women love assholes. I was doing the same thing to my date that the women in my past have done to me.

Men and women alike love challenges in their love lives. They want to work for their happiness instead of having it land in their laps. We’re creatures of habit and our worst habit is wanting and yearning for what and who we can’t have and I am finally ready to put an end to that self-destructive habit for good.
